We were looking for a lawyer for an open adoption. David Thurman came highly recommended from friends and colleagues in Charlotte. When we asked friends of ours, that are lawyers in Chicago, they reached out to their alumni and confirmed our choice also. Our case should have been very simple. However, our open adoption became very complicated before our son was even born. We could have walked away, but we had already made a commitment to save this child. Fortunately for us, David was on our side. The amount of research that David and the firm did, really made all the difference. To be honest, we did not know what to expect in the court room.
